too many tags?

hmm, i’ve just realized that this blog has more tags than actual posts, hehehe. it’s been fun writing posts and categorizing them. does this behavior indicate that i like to judge things, people included, pigeonhole-ing, put them under specific categories? is that a good or a bad trait?

btw, i’m going to put this post under the ‘ personal ‘ tag.

celebs and africa…

bono is vanity fair’s first ever guest editor for this month’s special issue on africa. apart from bono, the issue also highlighted some other public figures’ efforts on matters pertaining to AIDS and eradicating poverty in the region.

i can’t help admiring bono and his circle of friends. it’s amazing how they manage to organize, coordinate and cooperate in their effort to help the continent. we often judge celebrities, especially rock stars like bono, as just plain amoral and hedonistic. well, from what this bunch is doing in africa i believe they can teach us a more about being sensitive and emphatic towards others’ plight and sufferings.

these celebs are evidently aware of what is happening around the world outside the perimeters of the entertainment world. can the same be said about our artistes?

fast-food ?

one day at 1.15pm , in pizza hut jln t.a.r;

me, to the manager: dik, blh tlg amik order tak? kitorang dh 15 minit tunggu ni…

the manager: kejap ye kak….

we waited for another 5 minutes, still nobody has attended to us, we walked out of the place and headed straight to a stall 100 metres from there. told the makcik we’d like to tapau, got our rice, selected the piping-hot fried chicken and some other dishes, and paid the price to the other makcik waiting at the cash register, and went back to our office.

the whole ordeal at  the makcik’s stall ended less than 5 minutes, compared to the one at pizza hut. so now tell me, which is supposed to be called a fast-food joint, and which is not?

an awww….. moment

one of my favorite songs has now become a lullaby for my twins…

“you think i’d leave your side baby
you know me better than that
you think i’d leave you down when you’re down on your knees
i wouldn’t do that
i’ll tell you you’re right when you want
and if only you could see into me
oh when you’re cold
i’ll be there
hold you tight to me

when you’re on the outside baby and you can`t get in
i will show you you’re so much better than you know
when you’re lost and you’re alone and you cant get back again
i will find you darling and i will bring you home

and if you want to cry
i am here to dry your eyes
and in no time
you’ll be fine…”

here comes the twins…!

warning: the explanation provided could be quite hard for some to stomach, espesially if you are a male chauvinist pig with total disregard to what your mom/wife/all women had to endure.

i went to kajang plaza on 3rd feb for normal checkup with my gynae, but since my pregnancy has reached its 38th week, considered full term for a twin pregnancy, i’ve been checked for any opening, and despite devoid of any pain i already had a 3 cm opening. my gynae decided that i should be warded and induced straightaway. this was at around 11 am, i was induced at 11.30, my water was broken at around noon, and i started to feel the pain at around 12.30.

omg, the pain! i’ve never felt anything like that my whole life! my back felt like it was being stretched and compressed so hard simultenously, i can’t do this, there is just NO WAY i can explain how painful it felt. due to some diffficulty with the babies position, my gynae had to use the vacuum. my daughter was finally born at 3.52 pm, followed by his brother at 4.00 pm. my gynae confessed later that it was quite a difficult delivery even by his experience as a specialist, and my husband further approved it that when my daughter came out, blood just surge all over the gynae’s face.

so here they are, at 2-days old:

a new status, a new blog

i’m a mother now, thus what’s better than marking a new beginning with a new blog?

hehehe, actually the shift from my old blog to this new one is not as philosophical as suggested by the above statement, it’s just that my office’s IT dept has just realized that they don’t have enough work to do thus decided to block a few more sites, including meebo, friendster, myspace and blogspot. however, i have managed to find the solution for the meebo problem by going to this site. well, i guess that means now i have to actually do my work instead of jalan-jalan cari blog!
